Welcome to the KU Card Center

The KU Card Center is responsible for the issuance and management of the KU Card, which is the official University of Kansas identification card for students, faculty, staff, and other members of the KU community. We report to the Vice Provost for Administration & Finance.

The KU Card provides access to university facilities, services, cash convenience, and more. Approximately 15,000 – 16,000 new and replacement cards are produced annually. In addition to the KU Card, we issue departmental badges and visitor cards.

Other responsibilities include: software/hardware installation and maintenance; technical support and consulting; merchant settlement; program design and maintenance; and program marketing.

Our mission:  To be a welcoming and friendly place where students, faculty, and staff at The University of Kansas go to get their official ID card, and to issue and manage a card our customers are proud to carry and can rely on for many of their campus and off-campus transactions.
