Welcome to the KU Card Center

The KU Card Center is responsible for the issuance and management of the KU Card, which is the official University of Kansas identification card for students, faculty, staff, and other members of the KU community. We report to the Vice Provost for Administration & Finance.

The KU Card provides access to university facilities, services, cash convenience, and more. Approximately 17,000 – 18,000 new and replacement cards are produced annually. In addition to the KU Card, we issue departmental badges and visitor cards.

Other responsibilities include: software/hardware installation and maintenance; technical support and consulting; merchant settlement; program design and maintenance; and program marketing.

Our mission:  To be a welcoming and friendly place where students, faculty, and staff at The University of Kansas go to get their official ID card, and to issue and manage a card our customers are proud to carry and can rely on for many of their campus and off-campus transactions.

10/05/2015 - KU Card services will be unavailable on Saturday, October 10, 10:00 a.m. until Monday October 12, 10:00 a.m. while our vendor upgrades the CS Gold system.  You will not be able to add money to your KU Card or use Beak ‘Em Bucks off-campus, nor will you be able to use Beak ‘Em Bucks or your KU Cuisine Cash for pizza delivery.  Campus card readers will work in off-line mode if they are set up to do so and transactions will queue up and connect once the system is back online.  Door access readers will work in off-line mode, but no changes/updates will take affect while the system is down.  Thank you for your understanding.
